About This Project

St. Joseph Catholic Church

This project involved a long-term renovation of a parish church in historic Petersburg, Virginia.  The parish had suffered a rather unfortunate renovation in the 1980s that had rearranged the pews in a theater configuration and had installed a thrust stage into the nave and reoriented the altar to face the rear of the sanctuary.

The project was initiated by a previous pastor in 2014 and involved the management of several small steps to achieve the complete restoration of the interior of the church.  The scope of the project consisted of consulting the parish on selections of materials, colors and connecting the parish with artisans to execute the final design.
